Sunapee Happenings

“We must find the time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives."

John F. Kennedy

We're thankful to have the good fortune to live amidst this bounty of natural beauty… from the lake to the forested mountain top. We benefit from skilled town leadership and safety services. The teachers who mentor our children and the availability of continuing learning opportunities.  Shopkeepers supplying our wants and needs. Nonprofits that work tirelessly to protect our history,

the lake and woodlands, beautify our town gardens and bring the cultural arts and enrichment to our towns.  The wave & smile from a neighbor walking by, and grateful to be welcomed and embraced by communities of caring people.

2024 Sunapee Fire Department Weather Emergency Contact List

Do you or a loved member of our community live alone, have no transportation, or are disabled and would like to be checked on following severe weather conditions?

The Sunapee Fire Department (SFD) welcomes members of the community to join the Weather Emergency Contact List for 2024. In the event of severe weather (blizzard, ice storm, long-duration power failure, etc.), a telephone call will be made to your residence to assess your well-being. If you fail to answer the telephone call, a member of the SFD will drive to your residence to assess your well-being. If contact is still nonexistent, SFD will enter your house with minimal damage, only if you permit them to do so when signing up. If this service sounds beneficial to you or a loved one, the Sunapee Fire Department encourages you to join our contact list.

To join the Weather Emergency Contact List for 2024, visit the town website to access the required information: here.

Then, please either send your information via email to dispatchcenter@town.sunapee.nh.us or by mail to PO Box 15, Sunapee, NH 03782. Please contact the Sunapee Fire Department with any questions.

A SHINING LIGHT

In fond remembrance of Mary Moynihan. Seeking comfort in community, we’ll gather together at the Ben Mere Bandstand on Thursday evening, November 30th at 6:15pm for a candlelight* walk along the Sugar River to The Livery for refreshments and camaraderie.  *Candles will be provided.

Questions? Please contact Meagan Reed at 603-381-7053 or meaganreed1106@gmail.com.
