September 20 is National Voter Registration Day! Largo residents will soon weigh in on three ballot items and open City Commissioner seats in the November 8, 2022, General Election. Be sure to register to vote for the General Election by October 11.

Largo residents are invited to learn more about ballot questions directly from City Leaders. Find out why City Commission voted to include amendments and referendums and what impact they may have on your community. Team members will also be available to answer questions. HORIZON CONSTRUCTION NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 | 5:30-6:30PM | WOODROW PARK
The City of Largo is set to break ground this fall on the new Horizon West Bay project coming to Downtown Largo. On Thursday, September 29 from 5:30-6:30pm, neighbors and residents are invited to a project information session hosted at Woodrow Park, 290 3rd St NW. Community members interested in learning more about project goals, timelines, and construction routes can stop by anytime and talk with the project management team. Construction will create road closures on 4th St. NW, 5th St. NW, and 1st Ave. NW starting in Winter 22/23 and remaining closed for the duration of construction. Vehicles will not be able to turn east on West Bay from Ridge Rd., 6th St., or 1st St. The most up-to-date information including detour maps will be posted on HorizonWestBay.com.
NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! The national celebration is from September 15 to October 15. Join us for the proclamation reading Tuesday, September 20 at 6pm during the Largo City Commission meeting. Tune in at Largo.com/LiveTV or the City of Largo’s Facebook page.
20th STREET NW RECONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction contractor Crisdel Group, Inc. anticipates the northbound lane reconstruction will be completed and normal traffic operations will be restored in early November. The northbound lane may still experience periodic closures while multi-use path enhancements are being constructed at the corner of 20th St NW and West Bay Drive. For questions, email EngineeringServices@largo.com.
APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR KPB YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL
Applications are now open for high school students interested in joining the Keep Pinellas Beautiful Youth Advisory Council.
