WINTER FINE ARTS EVENTS

December is an exciting time for the arts at Trinity. All of our fine arts events are open to the public and free to attend.

Recorder Recital

Wednesday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m.

Seventh and eighth-grade girls who have been studying the recorder this semester will perform some lovely pieces.

Winter Choir Concert

Saturday, December 16, at 7:00 p.m.

Come enjoy an evening of excellent choral music performed by students in grades 9-12.

Winter Art Show

Tuesday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m.

High school juniors and middle school boys who have been studying art this semester will share a gallery of their artwork in the Greenlawn Mansion.

Junior Drama II: The Imaginary Invalid

Wednesday, December 20, at 7:00 p.m.

Juniors will present The Imaginary Invalid, by French playwright Molière. In this 17th century comedy, Monsieur Ardin, a long-suffering hypochondriac, insists that his daughter marry a doctor so he can have access to free health care, but she is in love with someone else. It is up to Toinette, the sassy maid in Ardin's household, to sort out the love triangle and properly ridicule Ardin for his obnoxious behavior.

BALLROOM DANCE

All Trinity students in grades 9-12 are invited to the Ballroom Dance on Saturday, December 2, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Dan O'Day Dance Club.

Before the dance begins, there will be a one-hour lesson starting at 6:00 p.m. This lesson is open to all students. Students who have not been attending weekly dance lessons at Dan O'Day this year are especially encouraged to arrive early for the pre-dance lesson. Please see the email invitation for more details.

WATER BOTTLE REMINDER

Please help your child to remember to bring a water bottle to school every day. The front office does not keep disposable cups on hand for students.

CELL PHONE POLICY REMINDER

As a friendly reminder, Trinity's policy on cell phones does not permit students to use a cell phone on campus. If you need to reach your child during the school day, please call the front office and we will deliver your message. Students may use the student phone located near the faculty room if they need to reach a parent during the school day.

PIZZA LUNCH

As a reminder for students who ordered pizza at the start of the semester, the final Pizza Lunch of the fall semester is on Thursday, December 7. Pizza order forms for the spring semester will be shared in January.

INDOOR FIELD DAY

Indoor Field Day is Wednesday, December 20. This is a shortened school day, so please plan accordingly. There will be no Study Hall following dismissal.

Shortened school day schedule:

9:00 a.m. — arrival

11:50 a.m. — dismissal

LAST VISIT DAY OF 2023

The last Student Visit Day in 2023 will take place on December 4. Please share this opportunity with friends and neighbors. Prospective students who are not able to attend Visit Day are welcome to schedule a shadow day. Please reach out to Josh Caneff, director of admissions, at [email protected], for more information.

SAVE THE DATE FOR

FIELDHOUSE FUN NIGHT

Save the date for Fieldhouse Fun Night on Sunday, January 7, at 7:00 p.m., at the Trinity School Athletic Center. All students are invited. There will be gaga ball, corn hole, can jam, knockout, and board games. A $5.00 entry fee per student will include a drink and a snack. Additional snacks will be available for purchase.
