A Message from our Priest:
Dear Friends,
It has been a difficult few weeks here at Christ Church. We have celebrated the passing of a number of important people in our parish’s life, including Father Bird and Canon Rauscher. Both priests were incredibly important in the life of this parish. They were both loved and will be missed by many of you. May they rest in the peace of Jesus.
I have noticed your grief. Grief is a hard thing to measure and there are a wide range of other complicated feelings and thoughts that often accompany it. It’s a difficult time for sure.
This is a good time to remind ourselves that when we celebrate the Eucharist in hope, we are joining with the saints and those loved ones who have passed on. This is also a good time to lean on each other and pray together and share your thoughts and stories about the people who have passed on. There are many ways to celebrate the ones we miss. Take good care of each other. You are all in my prayers.

Stewardship - Christ Church is going green and saving green
Now available in pews you will find a “I gave online” reuseable card that can be placed in the offering plate by our online donors. On the opposite is a QR Code to donate by PayPal.
We are also launching new universal envelopes that are located in the pews. These will be replacing the boxed envelopes in 2025. They are less expensive, and we are printing them in house. There are check boxes for the variety of funds to which one can donate. They also include information for altar flowers on the back. Everyone who attends Christ Church is encouraged to use these envelopes as needed.
Last year we spent over $300.00 on envelopes, many of which were not used. This new program will save Christ Church money and save on paper waste.

New Choir Director and Organist: Nicholas Mynyk
Christ Church is happy to announce that the parish has hired Nicholas Mynyk as choir director and organist. Nicholas is a recognized leader in the professional, academic, and sacred music fields. Having considerable experience as a performer, teacher, clinician, and minister of music; he brings to us a wide breadth of knowledge, experience, and passion. He has performed as a solo pianist, organist, harpist, harpsichordist, violinist, and conductor throughout the United States, France, Monaco, and Italy. Nicholas has served as Vice President and President of the Philadelphia Music Teachers Association and is an active board member.

Burial Announcement
Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00 am will be the Requiem Mass for Violet Wells followed by interment at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ. Violet M. Wells, 100, formerly of Waterford, CT, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024, in the loving care of family and Hospice. Pre deceased by her son, Bill, she leaves behind her daughter Margaret Marsh and her son-in-law Kenneth Marsh of NY; 2 grandchildren Paul Withstandley of CT, Emily Piskun (née Withstandley) of NJ and their spouses Erin (CT) and Christopher (NJ); 5 great grandchildren Jack and Luke Withstandley of CT, Thomas and Rebecca Piskun of NJ, and Luke Piskun of PA. Also, her niece Susan Kerr and loving friends and neighbors in Waterford, New London and Mystic.

Chill Out this Summer at Christ Church
Volunteers Needed
Get ready to chill out this summer! As the summer break draws near, we're excited to announce that we'll be offering a refreshing treat after the 10 a.m. mass - delicious ice pops and cold water. But we need your help! We're looking for volunteers to lend a hand in handing out these cool treats. Starting from June 23rd through August 25th, join us in spreading some summer joy. Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries
GWCM needs our help! Donations are especially needed at this time due to a continued high number of clients. What an impact Christ Church could make if each family set a goal to bring 1 (one) items to church each week.
The pantry is providing food to many more clients and needs the following items on a regular basis: Sauce for pasta, jelly, cereal, tuna, canned meats, pancake mix and syrup. Items can be put brought in on Sundays. Thank you.
