DEM Annual Safety Meeting Review

Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Information

The DPH is providing flu and COVID boosters are available in the Employee Vaccination Clinic in Bldg 5, 4E, 4th Floor. Staff can walk-in for their flu vaccine and COVID-19 bivalent booster on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30am-3:30pm. 


Remember to bring your UCSF and ZSFG ID badges with you.This vaccine site has UCSF and DPH vaccine stations. If you get your COVID booster and/or flu vaccine from a DPH team or externally, please make sure to obtain a copy for your records and submit to UCSF OHS (VPN access required).

Incubator 3 Cleaning - Friday, 9/16/22

Please note, Incubator 3 in P2 Room 623 is being cleaned on Friday, 9/16 at 6AM. Please remove all cultures by the end of day on Thursday, 9/15. 


Failure to move your cultures may result in their disposal.

Poetry Garden Dedication Event - 9/23

Please join ZSFG on Sept 23 at 12pm at the Comfort Garden in ZSFG Bldg 80/90, Bldg 30/40, and on the 7th floor of building 25.


This month's garden poetry walk will feature poets from the 3rd Annual UCSF DOM Poetry Contest to celebrate the 150-year partnership between ZSFG and UCSF.

2022 DEM Safety Manual and Emergency Action Plan

A big thank you to Vanessa York for updating the Emergency Action Plan and DEM Safety Manual for 2022. Please take the time to read these documents as they contain important information regarding our policies and procedures.

UCSF COVID-19 Policy Updates

Be vigilant about masking at work, unless you are in a room by yourself. At no time should you be eating or drinking together inside.


Visitors are required to be fully vaccinated. If they are not they will be required to have a negative COVID test before entering any building on the ZSFG campus. 


Staff are encouraged to obtain COVID testing if they have any symptoms, exposure or concerns regarding COVID. Staff can obtain COVID testing at the OHS employee testing tent in the parking lot by Avon Breast Center, Monday-Sunday from 6:30am-4:30pm (no appointment required). As UCSF employees, you can also use the Color vending machine in Building 9.
