Blessing of the Backpacks/Vocation Sunday is August 14. Everyone is invited to bring their backpack, their work bags, their tools of the trade, whatever represents your vocation, for a special Sunday blessing during worship. We will take a special moment to pray for our students, teachers, and school staff, as well as lifting up prayers for all the vocations to which God calls us.

New and returning acolytes are invited to join Pastor Marcus in the Sanctuary on August 14 at 9:15am for an overview of the Acolyte ministry, including procession Sundays, how to get on a robe, how to tie the belt, how to light the candles, wear to stand and sit, etc. This is not only a great time for the seasoned professional to dust off the summer rust of this vital worship ministry, but to invite the brand new and interested youth to come and see what it is all about!

Because Lutherans love to laugh. The first anniversary of the Senior Social Club was a wild success. The monthly group dined on the Bigott's famous spaghetti dinner, ended the meal with cake and banana pudding, and celebrated the day with prizes, laughter, and chatter galore. Everybody was a winner! We are better together.
