Meet Rocco
In a recent episode of Italians in Maryland (click video to watch) meet Rocco Mazzulli, a young, talented and very promising artist born and raised in Little Italy. Rocco was interviewed by Nicolino Applauso at the neighborhood's Italian Heritage Festival last fall. "I was impressed by his art and professionalism," said Applauso. Rocco is the son of Christopher & Mary Grace Mazzulli, and grandson of Gloria & Lou Mazzulli, Jr., Little Italy business owners.

A GEM IN SOUTH PHILLY
Should you find yourself near the South Street area of Philadelphia, the Filitalia Foundation houses a wonderful and interesting Italian Immigration Museum in the Filitalia International Language & Cultural Center. Pictured is Saverio Nestico (right), President of Filitalia International, the son of Filitalia's founder. "My family lived at 922 Fawn Street; our surname was spelled as both Iannarelli and Annarelli. My paternal grandmother was Mary Agnes Lavezza; my grandfather was Michael Iannarelli. I wish I could get back to Little Italy. I have so many fond memories. It seemed like we were all related!"
