The Riverhead Industrial Development Agency accepted an application from Calverton Aviation & Technology to transfer the property in the Enterprise Park at Calverton (EPCAL) from Riverhead’s Community Development Agency to its IDA. CAT said it plans to spend $245 million to acquire and develop the initial 1 million square feet at EPCAL. Brookhaven IDA closed on incentive packages to fuel cell electric power generators in Holtsville and Setauket. The new fuel cells will be owned by subsidiaries of Northville Industries, the Melville-based petroleum company which houses a oil-tank farm in Holtsville, where one of the cells will be located on a 2,000-square-foot lot. Last week, NYSEDC Executive Director Ryan Silva was appointed to the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Board of Directors at the 2022 Annual Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. IEDC’s Board of Directors is comprised of 55 voting members whose duty it is to serve as a steward of IEDC’s vision, mission, values and resources. Their board members are experienced leaders in the economic development field dedicated to IEDC and the economic development profession.
