"Pandemic Taboo" brought the Thompson family forward to July 2020. I decided it was time to give a little more focus to the Parkland family in the next installments of the series. So, the narrative character shifts to 18-year old Danny Doherty, son of Heather Parkland, who had been set up as an antagonist way back in "Package Deal", but I had chosen not to introduce the younger members of the Parkland family at that time, so this is the first time Danny is "on-screen" as such.

This narrator shift also extends to changing the color scheme of the cover/promos for the book, from the red used for Scott Thompson, to a blue for Danny. (in case anyone noticed or wondered why)

I also made the decision to start Danny's narrative in June 2020, a month before "Pandemic Taboo" ends, with his (virtual) High School graduation being followed by a major revelation -- it shouldn't be hard to guess what the title, "Crossing the Line" means in the revelation's aftermath.

The timeline then catches up to July in the next part of the series, the two-part "Summer of Secrets", still narrated by Danny. I'm still trying to decide if Book 8 in the series will be entirely narrated by Danny or if I'm going to have multiple narrators handling different chapters. Its title is also up on the air, but I like the sound of "Octet".
