City of Santa Fe

Weekly Wrap

Highlights from the Week of August 29, 2022

Community, Solutions

On August 30, the City hosted a round-table discussion with nearly 200 community members on the topic of homelessness in our community. We are grateful to everyone who showed up to listen, learn, and share their perspective to help create a meaningful conversation around solutions for this complex issue.

This week, the City and Santa Fe County also introduced a joint resolution committing to work collaboratively and coordinate efforts to support unsheltered individuals. Going forward, it is important that we work with all members of our community, including those who are currently experiencing homelessness, to address the many pieces of the puzzle that make up this complex issue and create a pathway to housing for everyone who needs it.

CHART Final Report Available for Review

The CHART final report has been completed after 11 months of public engagement: public dialogues, listening sessions, interviews, surveys, art activations, a cultural history series, a blog, and more. The report documents the CHART process and includes 52 recommendations to the Governing Body. Artful Life, lead consultant on the project, gave a presentation about the findings during Wednesday's City Council meeting. View the recording here.
