One of my favorite stories from the Bible is the one of David and Goliath. In the story of David and Goliath, David was able to face his fear and face Goliath with God’s help. I can relate to the story of David and Goliath because of the times I have had to face my fears in my own life.
Last year, I was really scared to go to camp. I was sure I would die from a severe case of homesickness! Finally, the time came when I was getting dropped off. I was so scared, but after about 20 seconds in my cabin, I knew that God would help me get through this. Sure enough, my cabin mates became some of my best friends.
I always know that when I am afraid, I can trust in God to help me get through anything. David was able to defeat Goliath because he trusted in God, and it gives me so much comfort to know God is by my side always and I can do anything as long as I trust in Him.
