To fulfill our mission of presenting the best, world-class musicians here in Chicago, we partner with organizations that also sponsor and promote emerging talents. One of our partners is the Concert Artists Guild in New York City. The guild accepts by audition only the most promising emerging classical musicians from around the globe and provides guidance so they can reach their full potential. “Our mission and the Concert Artists Guild missions are closely aligned,” says Mark Riggleman, CMC Executive Director. “We are both committed to supporting the next generation of classical musicians and giving them exposure to a wide range of audiences.” CMC is presenting Concert Artists Guild musician, Evren Ozel on October 5. He has performed extensively and garnered international praise. Highlights of his career include winning first prize in the 2016 Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, second prize in the 2018 Dublin International Piano Competition and being a quarter-finalist in the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Poland. Don't miss his performance of Beethoven’s monumental sonata, Op. 111 on Classical Music Chicago’s Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, on October 5, at the Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago, 55 E. Wacker Drive. Concerts are performed there every Wednesday as part of the Dame Myra Hess Concerts series.
The October 5 concert is generously sponsored by Mr. Neal Ball.
