“There is no bad weather, only bad gear,” so the saying goes. Of course, the weather isn’t always pleasant, but with proper clothing and preparation, a Scout can have just as much fun in cold weather as they would in warm. Do your Scouts shy away from cold-weather camping? Let’s talk about it at the roundtable, Thursday, December 14, 2023, 7:30 to 9 p.m. via Zoom.

We'll also explore the winter sky. Basic stuff like finding North and the most recognizable constellations, plus spotting Jupiter and Saturn and Venus. We’ll throw in a campfire story or two that feature legends about the stars.
