From dreams to plans: Demond’s Foundation 3 story

“At this point in life I’m not dreaming; I’m making plans and goals.”

That’s the confidence of someone who made it through to the other side of hard times stronger and more capable than before. That’s Demond’s story after participating in BCM Georgia’s Foundation 3 program.

Before the life he has now, Demond struggled to make ends meet for himself.

“Life was very stressful and uncertain. Having eviction debts on my credit background prevented me from getting my own place here in Georgia, so my son and I lived with my sister and her daughter,” Demond said.

Impact Highlight: 2023 to date

Wondering if you're making a difference by supporting BCM Georgia? The simple answer is you DEFINITELY are! We've added up the numbers – here's what we've accomplished together the first six months of this year alone.

Through our Emergency Housing Assistance program, you've helped keep a total of 1,160 individuals housed and with utilities.

That includes:

  • 528 Families, including
  • 776 Adults
  • 384 Children

Our Foundation 3TM program helps families, who are experiencing or on the brink of, homelessness. Through this program, 48 individuals have maintained or obtained housing and financial training.

That's

  • 15 Families made up of
  • 15 Adults
  • 33 Children

Six of these families have completed the Foundation 3TM program.

Through our Budget for LifeTM program – which empowers people through financial literacy – 71 individuals have benefitted from rigorous financial education.

This impacts

  • 28 families with
  • 36 Adults
  • 35 Children

Plus, an amazing $201,273 in debt has been paid off.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our community – THANK YOU for playing a part in these success stories!

Our annual Tee It Up Golf Tournament is coming up in a little less than a month, and we can hardly wait! All player spots are SOLD OUT, and there are some amazing individuals and businesses backing up this event as sponsors.
