MESSAGE TO MY CLIENTS

THE LAST NEWSLETTER (of 2023)

I wanted to take the time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Safe travels, Enjoy your families, Eat much, Be well, God Bless – and Thank You for your business 😊

MEDICARE SECTION – UNWANTED SOLICITATIONS

Here’s An example (from a client)

I have received several calls this year from clients mentioning that the Medicare insurance solicitation calls won’t stop.

One client was gracious enough to text me a photo of the letter she received. She mentioned she was not sure what to do with this notice and what it was trying to tell her. The notice does say that she could get $77 per month. (Sounds like a lottery winning! – Call Now)

The notice is attached below.

I asked my client to read the fine print at the bottom of the notice.

The fine print at the very bottom says:  “This information is NOT affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Government or the Federal Medicare program. You may be contacted by a licensed Medicare agent. Some restrictions may apply. No cost. No obligation.”

Look for this fine print (typically at the bottom) so you can tell if the letter or notice is a solicitation and NOT from the Federal Government (CMS or HHS)!

  • CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid)
  • HHS (Health and Human Services)

What this letter or notice is telling you is that if you call the “888 #”

you will be contacted by another agent to solicit to you and try to get you to change your insurance coverage by enrolling in another insurance plan.

The television advertisements and these types of letters are typically advertising to Medicare eligibles and are generated from a call center or marketing company. The individual agents (or agencies) then buy these leads and turnaround to call you. The agent who is calling you could be located anywhere is the United States, and not local to you.

The broad-based marketing was stopped by CMS this year, 2023. The advertisements are NOW supposed to be targeting the insurance plans and benefits that are available in your area.

If you receive these solicitation letters, calls, and marketing, I can help answer your questions and do offer almost all insurance plans.

Remember, I am contracted with several Medicare insurance companies and offer their Medicare Advantage plans (Part C), Medicare Supplements (Medigap) plans, and the Prescription Drug (Part D) insurance plans.

If you enjoy working with me, please call me first so I can stay your Agent of Record. If you enroll in a Medicare insurance plan with another agent, you lose me as your Servicing Agent (Agent of Record).

Any questions, please contact me.
