Rocking and Rolling at the Santos Car Show
Now in its sixteenth year, the annual Santos Family Car Show in Alviso is one of my favorite San José traditions. Gathering beautiful classic cars from all over the city and state, this Labor Day Weekend event is chock full of great people, incredible cars, and delicious food from vendors and local restaurants.
The San José Police Department joined the festivities with a classic car of their own, a vintage 1965 Plymouth SJPD cruiser. I joined State Senator Bob Wieckowski for "Ridealong" with Chief Mata and Captain Acosta.
Special thanks to Supervisor Cindy Chavez, the SJPD, San José Fire, and the entire Santos Family for organizing such a wonderful event! Mark your calendars now next Labor Day Weekend so you don’t miss out on all the fun.

In many parts of Asia, it’s common during a Mid-Autumn Moon Celebration to honor and worship the moon, the people who work the land, and the food that is cultivated. The festivals coincide with the full moon on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month.
