A Message from the Vice Provost

Michael Rios is wearing glasses and a plaid suit. He looks directly into the camera while smiling outside in front of a plain wall.

As I look back on four years with the Office of Public Scholarship and Engagement, I am grateful for all we’ve accomplished together. Thank you for your support and commitment to advancing our public impact.

I am pleased to share that a comprehensive impact report will be released in 2024 to celebrate our fifth anniversary. Looking ahead to this milestone, I want to highlight a few of the notable accomplishments since our launch in July 2019 with the Implementation Framework.

In the new year, we will be working with our university partners to assess the impact of these and other engagement activities in our colleges and schools, across units in the Chancellor and Provost Offices, and both the Davis and Sacramento campuses. Thanks for your support and we look forward to an exciting new year!
