Summer Vacation Update

Thank You to All Our

Mentors and Volunteers

Three Rivers Area Mentoring has a small, but dedicated, staff. It is our community volunteers - especially our mentors - who make our work possible.

The 2022-2023 school year was a huge success for TRAM and our students. We hired three new staff members, expanded programming from three days a week to five days a week, moved our classrooms to First United Methodist, and doubled our student enrollment.

Thank you to all the mentors and volunteers who contributed to our amazing year!

Fishing Tournament

Congratulations!

On Sunday, July 9th, youth from Three Rivers and all over St. Joseph County gathered for a morning of fishing, food, and fun! We were rained out on Saturday, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful weather on Sunday.

It was a fishing tournament, however, and we gave away prizes to the first and second place winners in two age categories: 7-10 and 11-14.

Thank you to all the parents for waking up early and bringing your kiddos out for our tournament!

We hope everyone had a great time!

Every fisher got a bucket for their fish. Most people practiced catch and release after the fish were weighed in.

So much fun!

We had so many people fishing, we split up our fishers into two groups. The first fished from the boats and the second fished from the docks. When the boats returned, the two groups switched, so everyone got the same experience.

Believe it or not, our biggest fish were caught on the docks!

Thank You to our Sponsors and Volunteers

Events like our fishing tournament cannot possibly occur without the help of our volunteers. Thank you to everyone who came out to help us, including: Brian Burkeen, Karen Burkeen, Annette Curtis, Kurt Curtis, Tim Tole, Toni Tole.

I would especially like to thank Larry Headley who is our official weigh-master, but who also spearheads our fundraising efforts for the tournament.

Don't forget our boat captains and first mates! They generously donated, not just their time, but their boats so that our fishers could experience fishing out on the lake.
