RECTOR'S CORNER

For over eleven years, Terry Roberts has been our dedicated and talented Parish Administrator Terry quietly announced his retirement a few months ago. Since that time we have been planning. We put together a team to help us interview, and we selected a new Parish Administrator. Although no one can replace Terry, we are delighted to announce that Laurie Hamilton has agreed to join our parish staff as the new Parish Administrator. Laurie comes to us with a strong background in administration, and she also has extensive knowledge of social media. In addition, Laurie has a passion and experience connecting with preschoolers and their families. During the pandemic, Laurie coordinated the individual singer videos and compiled them into a multi-part, unified hymn for our online services. For the past three years, Laurie has been a part of our paid choral singers, so many of you may have had a chance to know her warmth and her self-starter mindset. I could not be happier to invite Laurie to join our parish staff.

I have some more good news as well. Even though Terry is retiring as our Parish Administrator, Terry has agreed to remain our part-time bookkeeper! With Terry’s extensive knowledge of our bookkeeping system and his love of St. Wilfrid’s, I am delighted that Terry will remain a part of our staff. Terry has been such a blessing to our parish! Over the next two months, Terry will help mentor Laurie as she takes over the Parish Administrator responsibilities, takes on new social media tasks, and takes over creating the Sunday Bulletins from Fr. Steve+. Yes, that is correct! For the past few years, Fr. Steve+ has been creating the bulletins each week. He has done a wonderful job, and with Terry remaining our bookkeeper, Laurie can take over bulletin creation from Fr. Steve+ and thus free up Fr. Steve+ to focus on other kingdom building tasks.

I could not be happier that Terry will continue to be an important staff member and that we can welcome Laurie to be apart of the office staff. I feel so blessed that we are able to join in ministry together, along with Fr. Steve+ and Fr. Bill+, to serve our parish and our community.

I also want to highlight that next Sunday, October 9th, is St. Wilfrid’s Day!  We will be having one service at 9:30am with both our Table Singers and our Choir leading us in worship. Then. Immediately following the service, will be a chili cook-off (more info below in this email). St. Wilfrid’s Day also marks the beginning of our Stewardship season. I am so that we can celebrate events like St. Wilfrid’s together. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Many blessings to each of you,

Fr. Nathan+

WELCOME

LAURIE HAMILTON
