September 2022 Newsletter
September is here! Did you know September is known as Harvest Month. It’s a great month to harvest in preparation for the coming winter months. In fact, in Old England, it was called “Haervest-monath”, meaning Harvest Month. Some of the best crops to harvest are onions, apples, and raspberries. The weather is finally starting to let up, with cooler nights are finally chasing away the heat! Enjoy September!

Positively Speaking: Patricia's Perspective

How Gratitude Shows Up When We Look For It

One of the ways that I stay positive is expressing gratitude. As an entrepreneur I've had successes and failures along with many ups and downs. But I've always kept my mission and vision strong to help make the world a better place through sharing information and stories of experts and authors in the media.

Especially in the tough times, looking at the window of opportunity in the obstacle can keep us afloat. We are living in a time filled with so much uncertainty in so many areas including COVID, politics, the economy, racial issues and climate change among others.

An antidote to all of this uncertainty and challenge is to access what we do have and what we are grateful for versus what we don't have. Survivors the of the War in Ukraine who have lost many of the necessities we enjoy are a good example of remembering this. We often take for granted food, water, clothing, housing, and family that many of them have lost.

Gratitude is one of the factors of being resilient along with enjoying our lives and appreciating what we have. And my gratitude now is for the opportunity to bring to fruition my vision of showing older adults the possibilities and opportunities in front of them.

I'm happy to announce that I will be hosting a new podcast series on Rhode Island public television called “Positive Aging.” This will be their first in-house podcast and will be heard globally online and will launch on September 20th.
It is so exciting to interview experts in the areas of health, wellness, relationships, lifestyle, business, and discuss all of the opportunities that are new and within our reach in our golden years.
