September is Suicide Prevention Month, and Lee College cares about your wellbeing. Students and part-time employees who need mental health services can access virtual care through the TimelyCare app any time of the day. Lee College also offers additional mental health resources which can be found here. Those who download and register with the TimelyCare app before Friday, Sept. 15, will be entered in a drawing to win an Amazon gift card. You can do this in person from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., tomorrow, Sept. 13 outside Moler Hall.
September is also Student Parent Month, and serving parenting students is a huge priority for the Student Resource and Advocacy Center. That is why during the entire month, the SRAC will be hosting several events to support student parents. You can learn about the many resources available to students with children.
In the search for a new volleyball coach, Lee College has found a “match” with Erica Jimenez. She comes to Lee College from Prairie View A&M University where she was an assistant coach for the volleyball team. Read more about Coach Jimenez and her expectations for the 2023 season.
National Hispanic Heritage Month begins Friday, Sept. 15 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 15. At Lee College, there are several opportunities to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
