RENEW
Methodists believe that salvation is not a one-time event, but rather a lifelong journey of faith and discipleship, where believers are called to live out their faith through actions and service. In other words, we must RENEW our faith daily. The act of living out our faith can take many forms that are represented in our church: small group participation; serving in various ministries like Pastoral Care, Welcoming Team, Worship & The Arts, Sew ‘n Sews; and our Mission projects like West Virginia and Hope Street Pantry, just to name a few. We can also exercise and strengthen our Faith by financially supporting our church campus to ensure its longevity as a well-maintained base for intentionally sharing our faith stories.
A well-known passage out of Isaiah speaks to the power of hope in the Lord to RESTORE and invigorate our spirits, allowing us to overcome fatigue and continue our journey with RENEWED strength:
“But those who hope in the Lord will RENEW their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
On Sunday, May 4, we will officially kick off our new Building Fund Campaign, “Restore, Renew, Rekindle: May the Faith Be With You”! Details about how you can participate will be shared in the coming days, but we ask you to begin praying for God’s guidance in how you will contribute to this campaign.
Let’s work together to RENEW our Faith, RESTORE our place of worship for God’s glory and strengthen the base of our outreach as we develop relationships with God and neighbor, one person at a time!
