September 2022

Greetings!

What a joy it is to have students back on campus at UNC and at AIMS, and to be gathering together at the LECM Campus Center! Our students are especially excited for a year that for many of them will be the most 'normal' yet of their college experience. Though we all still continue to grapple with what this period of pandemic life looks like, there is a tangible energy of hope and possibility on campus this fall!

As the year begins, a special thank you for your support of students and young adults in the Greeley area. This ministry is sustained by a wide and generous network of individuals and congregations, and we are so grateful that you are a part of our community!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Monica Butler
WHAT'S HAPPENING @LECM
Welcome Week in Greeley
We welcomed new and returning students at the fall UNC Involvement Fair and our annual Welcome Cookout! Over burgers and watermelon we told summer stories, brainstormed for the semester ahead, and shared a blessing for the new year.

New Kitchens Completed!
Before
After
We are thrilled to have two brand new kitchens at the LECM Campus Center! After a busy summer of construction, we have new cabinets, countertops, tile, and appliances both upstairs and downstairs. These refreshed spaces are being well-used already by our student residents and our Sunday Dinner Church gatherings. Thank you to the LECM Board for all their planning and work on this project!

Food for Body, Mind and Spirit
Do you know a young adult who is hungry? We have food for the body at our Sunday night dinners and in our food bank. Food for the mind as we share our stories, study the Bible, serve others and ask questions about everything. And food for the spirit in our worship, prayer, reflection and community support.
