Business Spotlight: Bright Light Design Center - Q&A

With six Bright Light Design Centers located along the East Coast, including a new location centrally located on Chinquapin Round Road in Annapolis, we’re eager to find out more about this new resource and showroom.  After an informative discussion with David Cramer, General Manager, we learned the following about the new Bright Light Design Center.

How is this location different from Annapolis Lighting?

In 2009, Colonial Electric acquired Annapolis Lighting’s three locations, keeping the name and maintaining the Annapolis Lighting tradition for over a decade.  Upon review, it became clear that state of the art lighting showrooms dedicated to the professionals was in demand. With strategy changes the new name was established. Bright Light Design Centers are committed to helping custom builders, architects, interior designers, realtors, and homeowners make the right decisions regarding lighting sources and selections.  For example, if one is seeking to update their existing recessed lighting and interested in the latest technology in Warm Dim and Tunable White LED lighting including incorporating home automation with lighting control, the new Lighting Lab is a great resource with all options on display.  The Bright Light Design Center’s Lighting Lab allow one to envision how the performance and results of different lighting options can transform their living spaces.  Similar to Annapolis Lighting, the Design Center continues to have surface mount designer light fixtures, such as chandeliers, sconces, vanity lights and fans, on display in the main showroom.  

What brands do you have on display?

Bright Light offers all designer brands in decorative lighting and furniture items to include Hubbardton Forge, Palecek, Arteriors, Currey and Comfort, Visual Comfort, Hudson Valley, Eurofase, and many more.  We have a variety on display in our showroom. The vast majority are also available on our website at www.brightlightdesigncenter.com.

 What is an ideal Bright Light project?

A custom home or remodeling project being designed and built to function how the homeowner desires with an enhanced lighting experience.  Lighting can dramatically change the appearance of a home and how the interior spaces function for those living in the home.  Educated and trained in all aspects of lighting, the staff at Bright Light can help develop a lighting plan and select the appropriate fixtures to achieve optimal results.

With 50 years of experience, Bright Light Design Center is a great option for design and build projects not only in Annapolis / DC but also in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and of course the MD, DE, and NJ beaches.
