CELEBRATING 50 YEARS | 1973-2023

What a Summer!

We've had a delightful summer celebrating our 50th anniversary in various parts of the state! We kicked off our celebrations in Wolfeboro (where it all began 50 years ago) with an outdoor party on the Lake! Next, we held a collaborative milestone party with Children's Museum of New Hampshire (celebrating 40 years), Dover 400 (celebrating 400 years), and Cornerstone VNA (celebrating 110 years). At our third celebration, we gathered at Flag Hill Winery where we enjoyed the views, delicious food, signature beverages and great conversation. And finally, we traveled up north to the Wildcat Inn & Tavern where guests mingled in the beautiful backyard gardens under the warm sun.

Thank you to the all of our partner Chambers for their support - Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce. You can read more about our celebrations, and view photos from each event on our website.

What a journey it's been - 50 years! Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us!

MASSACHUSETTS 'MILLIONAIRES' TAX

Effective January 1, 2023, Massachusetts taxpayers with incomes over $1 million will be taxed an additional 4% on the portion of annual income that exceeds $1 million. This tax applies to both earned and investment income within the state. This brings the Massachusetts income tax rates to 5% on income up to $1 million, and 9% on income earned over $1 million. The $1 million threshold will be indexed annually for inflation following the federal adjustments.

This surtax resulted from a change in November 2022, when the State of Massachusetts voted to amend the state constitution. Voters said ‘yes’ to the Fair Share Amendment, which is expected to generate a projected $2 billion in tax revenue aimed at helping to fund state transportation and public education needs, including subsidized lunch programs.
