No Continuing City:

Reflections on Longing and Impermanence

(In Person & Zoom)

As humans we are acutely aware of impermanence, conscious that nothing lasts. And yet, we yearn for something enduring, for some solid ground beneath our feet. Honoring and accepting both of these realities is among the great tasks of living joyfully.

Regeneracion

Regeneracion was founded in Watsonville in 2016 to serve community needs for a climate justice organization. Based on the principle that climate change is a social justice issue with local impacts, Regeneracion engages on a local level to build resilient communities.

We are excited to support Regeneracion during April, which also includes Earth Day. They have many exciting projects with many ways to get involved, inspiring us all to keep working toward more just, climate-resilient communities.

Trump and Musk are taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is NOW. This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop to this chaos and to build an opposition movement against the looting of our country. We must step up and live our UU values. Look for the yellow UU banner! Bring signs! The theme is "Hands Off" (fill in your choice of issues). Questions? Contact Peg Galli or Teri Wiss or visit:

We must speak up!!

“We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim.

Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference.” — Elie Wiesel
