Dear Parents,

I am happy to report that our new Spanish program for VPK, and our K-2 classes is really going well. Thank you to Miss Audrey and Miss Luz for setting up this program. Our students are also ALL loving their weekly music class with Mrs. Michelle and are really enjoying the fabulous home cooked meal by Miss Maria.

We are excited for many things for the upcoming week....

Next week we will be starting our Soccer enrichment for Brown, Orange, and Purple Door. Those classes have also starting going to the Science Lab for Free Exploration. Rainbow will start soccer in October and Science Lab in December.

We are are also exciting to kick off our Papa John's Garden Fundraiser. All monies raised will be used to get our garden started in October. This is an easy one...On Friday, students took home an order form (one per family).

Please ask family, friends and co workers to purchase Pizza Cards. Each card costs $15 and the school gets $10 of that to buy plants for our garden. Please collect money at time of ordering. Once you turn in your order form, we will give it back to you with the cards.

The cards are good for half off all online orders from Papa Johns and can be used for one year, up to 18 times. The class that sells the most cards will get a pizza party! This program also gives our school FREE PIZZA certificates to give our student of the week. Cards can also be used for half off class birthday celebration. If you do not wish to sell, please consider purchasing a card for your family. For more information check out the poster on the front door, on our bulletin board or the windows outside my office.

I am also excited to announce that we are welcoming a new staff member to the Kids For Kids Academy Family. Sylvia Vacca is an educator with more than 30 years experience as a classroom teacher, professor of Education at Miami Dade College, and is also an ITDS (Infant/toddler development specialist). She is also the mom of the Vacca Orozco Twins who are in our First Grade class.

Sylvia will be assisting in the office and also with staff training as well as assisting our teachers to foster a positive environment for our special needs kids. Please be sure so say hi when you see her around our campus.

Finally, please remember that we are closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. I hope you have a wonderful long weekend with your family.
