Hand Surgery Resources, LLC Releases Hand Surgery Primer Version 1.5
Version 1.5 is now available! Visit  www.handsurgeryprimer.org to view our improvements, which include:
  1.  An additional diagnosis to “Patient 8” – Cellulitis of the Hand
  2. Adds question feedback to all pre-test and post-tests for all eight patient case studies.  When a student finishes the pre or post-tests the student will see not only their score on each question but also:  The correct answer, an explanation of the correct answer, and a link to the content explaining the question and answer.

Meet Hand Surgery Primer Assistant Editor: Samantha Muhlrad-Karp
Samantha Muhlrad M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in hand surgery. She has practiced orthopaedics since 2010 and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Muhlrad was recently named by the New York Times Magazine as a Top Doctor-Rising Star. She has a special interest in pediatric and sports medicine and has treated professional athletes, college athletes and high school athletes. Dr. Muhlrad is a member of the Stony Brook University sports medicine team. She earned a Bachelor’s degree with distinction from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Columbia University. She graduated with a Medical degree (M.D.) from Boston University in 2004. Dr. Muhlrad then completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at Stony Brook University, where she was appointed administrative chief resident and awarded Junior Resident of the Year. She then went on to do additional training in hand, upper extremity and microsurgery.
