Dear Zucker School of Medicine community,
As we approach the end of 2023, I find myself reflecting on the incredible Curriculum Renewal journey we've embarked on together. It is with immense gratitude and pride that I extend heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication, passion, ideas, and hard work. As we look forward to a well-deserved break, let us take a moment to celebrate our accomplishments, both big and small.
To all students, faculty, staff, and alumni who participated on committees and CQ teams, attended one of the Speaker Series or retreats, and/or submitted RFP proposals, your collective efforts have truly shaped a positive and enriching experience. A large-scale synthesis of the feedback from each of these experiences has resulted in goals and objectives for a refreshed curricular structure. At the start of 2024, we will share these goals and objectives broadly and will once again, seek your input on how to actualize these ideas. Subsequently, a newly formed advisory group will help receive the input and think through a proposed curricular macrostructure to bring the ideas into our future curriculum. By early spring, we anticipate having a proposal to share with you for your input. By late spring, we hope to conclude this part of the process and have some final recommendations.
Thank you for your engagement, thoughtfulness, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Each contribution, no matter how seemingly insignificant, has played a vital role in making this initiative a success! I am honored to be part of such an exceptional community, and I eagerly anticipate the continued growth and success that the coming year will undoubtedly bring.
