We are excited to release our Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2022! Our 2022 Fiscal Year took place from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, and if you've been partnering with us for a while now, you know that A LOT happened during that time. We hope you will enjoy reading about what Habitat for Humanity of Denton County was able to accomplish and how we're moving toward the future - all thanks to your support.

We look forward to working with you in 2023 to help more families build or improve a place to call home.
We wanted to show our appreciation for all the hard work from the volunteers and staff at Ruth's Room this year, so we hand delivered holiday treats last week right before Christmas. Did you know that Ruth's Room has raised over $2.3 million for Habitat for Humanity of Denton County over the last 22 years?

Ruth's Room sponsors each of our Habitat builds in Denton County. As a sponsor of our last Interfaith Build, Bunny Hodges, founder and owner of Ruth's Room, spoke at the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the home, saying "I can't think of any reason not to support Habitat!"

Ruth's Room holds fast to their mission to support Habitat's work in building homes, community, and hope in Denton County, and we are so grateful. Shop or donate at Ruth's Room today!
Thank you to our volunteers for your patience over the last few weeks as we navigated various construction delays due to recent poor weather conditions. We are grateful for the understanding, flexibility, and grace that each of our partners has consistently shown us. That is what building community is all about!

That being said, our 107th home is still on track for completion in early 2023. Despite the weather, we were still able to accomplish several big tasks inside the home, including the start of appliance and cabinet installation. The final steps now include installing the drainage system, laying sod, landscaping, and doing many final touch-ups, as well as final inspections. We hope to see you on the build site in the new year!

THANK YOU to those who bought children's rocking chairs over the last two months during our "buy one, we'll donate one" special. Thanks to you, we donated two full pallets of BRAND NEW children's rocking chairs to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program! That's 56 rocking chairs for children in need in our community. We are grateful for your support in helping us to pass along the generosity to others in our amazing community!

Holiday Closures: The ReStore will be closed Saturday, December 31.

The ReStore's regular hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 8:30am-5:00pm at 1805 Cornell Lane in Denton.
All are welcome to join our FREE Tax Educational Workshop on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at 3805 W. University Dr. Denton, TX 76207 (Greater Denton/Wise County Association of Realtors office), presented by Denton Central Appraisal District. Please RSVP by January 9 to Nancy Rodriguez at 940-484-5006 x9002 or NancyRod@hfhdentoncounty.org.
There's no better time than now to help a family help themselves to change their future. A safe, affordable home can be the start of a more stable, healthy and successful life for a family here in Denton County, the U.S., and around the world.

It's not too late to make a year-end gift. Donate now to Habitat for Humanity of Denton County to help support our efforts in your local community!
We are raising funds to develop 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton and establish a new "Habitat Village" housing development on the property. As many as 35 new affordable homes will be built alongside local families in need via this development. This project involves developing the infrastructure of this neighborhood, including the streets, sidewalks, utilities, proper drainage requirements, and everything else needed to support a neighborhood of 35 homes.

The majority of our funds are raised by local individuals and local organizations, so we are relying on YOUR continued support to carry us forward. Would you consider making a gift to the Habitat Village today?
Thank you, Jesse, for deciding to donate your car to Habitat for Humanity of Denton County to help those in need in our community!
