We hope you were able to attend one of the new Sunday School classes that began last week. All Sunday School classes begin at 9:00 am. If you haven’t joined a class yet, we have a variety of classes that you can choose from. The fall 2023 Sunday School booklet can be found in the worship center on the tables as you enter the sanctuary and online by clicking here. We hope you will find a class that will benefit your relationship with Christ and connect you with others. Below is a list of our fall class offerings.

All men ages 16 and older are invited to join us on Saturday, September 9, from 7:00 am – 8:30 am, at Stack’s Kitchen, for the Ministry to Men Fellowship Breakfast! Come for food and fellowship with your brothers in Christ. The only cost is your breakfast. Sign up today by clicking here.

All are invited to Christ Covenant Women’s Ministry’s annual Fall Kickoff, which is this Tuesday, September 12, from 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm, in the Community Life Center (CLC). The theme this year is Game Day Kickoff, so come dressed in your favorite team jersey! We will enjoy delicious game day food food and fellowship. We will hear from Angela Pacey about Christ Covenant’s ministry to Afghan refugee families in our community. We will also hear about Women’s Ministry for the year ahead!

If you would like to support the church’s ministry to Afghans, please consider bringing a pack of diapers (size 2 and up), a pack of wipes, Walmart gift card, or Harris Teeter gift card. These will be used to help refugees get settled in their new homes!

Our support groups are facilitated by caring members of our church who understand what you may be going through and want to help. These groups feature weekly devotional materials and group discussions designed to draw you closer to God and provide comfort. 

GriefShare will be held Tuesday evenings, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, September 12 through December 12. We will meet in the Youth House Conference Room located at 344 Covenant Church Lane. Caregivers will be held Tuesday evenings, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm, starting on September 19, in the CDS Conference room in the A building that is located next to the church office. The group will study Ambushed by Grace by Shelley Beach. To register for the group contact Gaylene Scheide at gscheide@christcovenant.org.

If you have a family member or friend outside of the church that is mourning the loss of a loved one, please encourage them to join our groups as well.

American Heritage Girls Troop 0800 is holding an Open House on Thursday, September 14, in the Community Life Center rooms 1 and 2 (CLC), from 6:45 pm - 8:15 pm. American Heritage Girls is a Christian based scout program, available to all girls between the ages of 5 and 18. At the Open House, girls are invited to enjoy a night of games, snacks, and crafts. Interested in coming? Sign up by clicking here. Our troop is also looking for adults willing to volunteer to invest in our girls and share the love of Christ. All moms are invited to join us for Mom’s Meet Up! This is a time for moms to chat with each other and build relationships while serving the church! This is a wonderful opportunity to get out and share life with other moms and bless our children’s ministry at the same time. We meet in the B building in room 101 on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Have questions? Contact Amy at awallace@christcovenant.org.

Everyone is invited to join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month for Christ Covenant Outreach Nights, called O Nights. Our next one is Tuesday, September 19, from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm. This is a great opportunity to serve together, to pray for our community, and to see God work in another way as we share the gospel with our community and neighbors.

We will meet in the south lobby of the worship center. If you do not feel comfortable walking, we would love for you to participate by praying on our campus. Please bring your small group, family, etc. and join us! If you have any questions, contact Michelle at mgustavson@christcovenant.org.

All men ages 16 and older who enjoy playing golf are invited to come play a round of golf at Monroe Country Club on Friday, September 22, 2023. A sign up is forthcoming. Have questions, contact Amy Van Dusen at avandusen@christcovenant.org.

We hope you are inviting your friends and neighbors in the community to our outreach event, Fall Photos & Fun Festival, on Saturday, September 23, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. We also hope you are making plans to come and to join us for this fun-filled day!

We are asking all Christ Covenant members to refrain from signing up for the photography time slots so that these photography spaces are available for our guests, visitors, and those we are reaching out to in the community who are not part of Christ Covenant Church. We hope you will invite someone that you are praying for and hopefully this outreach is an opportunity for you to care for your guests and to build good will for an opportunity to share the gospel.

Invitation cards for you to use can be found on all the tables going into the sanctuary. We also have yard signs for you to pick up and put in your yard! These can be found at the south lobby book nook. Have questions, contact Michelle at mgustavson@christcovenant.org.
