Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, extending compassion and care to those around us. In this final week of The Good Life series, we explore practical ways to embody Christ's love in our communities, reaching out to the marginalized, serving sacrificially, and being agents of reconciliation and grace. We must choose to be a good neighbor to all around us.

Erik Grayson, Guest Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Bill Bouknight, Retired GMC Guest Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Celebration Sunday

On June 16 (the Sunday after VBS) we will have our 9:00 and 10:45 AM services in the Auditorium only to celebrate all that God has done throughout the week at VBS. If you’ve experienced this celebration service before, you know you won’t want to miss it. Arrive early as the room will fill up quickly and be ready to celebrate! Nursery is provided for infants through 2 year olds. 3 year olds to 5th graders join their family in the Auditorium for the celebration.

Compassion Night

Many in our congregation are passionate about the rescuing work Compassion International does and the impact child sponsorship has had around the globe and in their own household. Because of this, we are excited to host Compassion Night on Wednesday, June 26 from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Student Room. Gather with others who share this passion, especially if you or your family sponsor Compassion children. We will enjoy a time of dinner and fellowship, share stories about our sponsored children, learn more about the Survival Program Mt. Horeb is now funding in the Dominican Republic, and take an even deeper look at the impact this kind of ministry has on children, families, and entire communities. We will also take time to write to our sponsored kids and others that need letters of encouragement! Kids are also welcome as long as they're accompanied by a parent/guardian. There is no cost to attend and dinner is provided.

Please let us know you plan to come by registering here.

The Art of Marriage

June 26 - July 31

Inspired by the global impact the classic Art of Marriage has had on millions of marriages, the all-new Art of Marriage is masterfully designed to inspire and equip today’s couples: whether newly married, seasoned, empty nesters, or part of a blended family. Creatively presented as videos, spoken word poetry, animations, group discussion questions, date night challenges, his and her devotionals and so much more, the six aspects of God’s powerful and perfect love can be understood and applied immediately. This will be a six-week study meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM. Childcare will be available. If you need childcare, you will need to register your child. Register here.

Welcome to our Staff

We are excited to announce another new addition to our staff. Starting in July, Pastor Stephen Fitch will be appointed by the Global Methodist Church to serve as our Pastor of Evangelism, a position recently vacated by Bryce Holdman’s decision to leave Mt. Horeb to pursue other ministry opportunities. Stephen is coming to us from Liberty, North Carolina where he has served two churches for the past four years. An ordained Elder in the Global Methodist Church, Stephen is married to Rachel and they have a one-year old son, Isaac. Stephen’s hobbies include hiking, playing music, reading, and writing. His passion is to invite others into the reality that the Holy Spirit does His best work when we are submitted to and satisfied in the goodness of God in Jesus Christ. Stephen and Rachel are excited to join the Mt. Horeb family and participate in all that God is doing in our midst.
