Senior Nutrition Program Update—Discontinuation of Proxy Meals
The goal of the Senior Nutrition Program is to reduce hunger and promote socialization. This in turn promotes health and well-being among older adults while delaying adverse health conditions. All registered participants are encouraged to come in person to have lunch and attend the various activities that we offer. Effective 10/1/22, participants will no longer be allowed to pick up meals for anyone else. Participants who are temporarily ill and/or unable to come to the site may receive meals up to five consecutive days via the Sick Meal Policy. If meal delivery is required beyond five days, the participant shall be referred to Meals on Wheels at (408) 350-3246.
