Children’s Ministry is sponsoring a free indoor fall movie night tomorrow, September 23. Bring blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals to snuggle with as we cozy up and watch a movie in Fellowship Hall. Doors open at 6:00pm, the movie starts at 6:30. Feel free to bring dinner. We host our annual Flu/Pneumonia Immunization Clinic this Sunday, September 25 from 8:30am until noon in the Fellowship Hall. You do not need to be a member of Dayspring to participate. Costs vary, depending on the type of immunization and insurance. 

Taizé brings a time for contemplative worship, involving sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, liturgical readings, and icons - a time for you to spend in deep personal connection with God. Our next Taizé Service will be held in Fellowship Hall this Sunday, September 25, at 4pm.

Join Rev. Jen Butler, founder in residence of Faith in Public Life and author of Who Stole My Bible?, for the Faith in Democracy Tour at Dayspring Tempe on October 2. Rev. Butler will speak about the threat of white Christian nationalism during both the 9:00 and 10:30 services and will hold a 2:00 lecture and Q&A session to inspire and equip communities to reclaim our faith and protect our democracy. Hurricane Fiona, the first major hurricane of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season, caused catastrophic damage in Puerto Rico and brought torrential rains to the Dominican Republic in mid-September. It has left millions without power and running water. UMCOR is in close contact with the disaster response coordinator of the Methodist Church of Puerto Rico and has already awarded an initial solidarity grant to help address immediate needs.
