Take the Cedar Park Hazard Mitigation survey

Thank you for reviewing and commenting on the City of Cedar Park Hazard Mitigation Plan

This plan identifies natural disasters and vulnerabilities, long term strategies for protecting people and property from similar events and is required by FEMA for various grant opportunities.

For years, Cedar Park has been part of the Williamson County Hazard Mitigation Plan, but we are transitioning to an independent plan to focus on the unique needs of our community.

This survey is open for public comment until September 25, 2022.

Cedar Park water customers should expect additional outdoor watering restrictions in coming weeks, due to repair

When a scheduled, critical underwater repair of the Brushy Creek Regional Authority (BCRUA) Pipeline starts in mid to late September, Cedar Park water customers should expect additional outdoor watering restrictions for the duration of the repair.

The exact timeline of the repair is still being finalized. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

Indoor use will not be impacted for Cedar Park water customers. The BCRUA serves as Cedar Park’s secondary water treatment plant, providing up to about 20 percent of Cedar Park’s overall water use.

For more resources on how to manage your water use, the City of Cedar Park offers water-saving tips, information on rebates and resources and a digital metering portal at www.waterthriftycedarpark.org. The digital metering portal allows customers to monitor water usage in near real-time, set up customized alerts and detect water waste.

This notice applies to City of Cedar Park water customers only. The BCRUA is a partnership of three member Cities. Each member city has a different response based on their water system. Please refer to other member cities for their specific information.
