Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarship
The Gilman-DAAD Germany Scholarship is a partnership between the U.S. Department of State's Benjamin A Gilman Scholarship Program and DAAD. DAAD Germany will provide 40 additional scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students per year to study and/or intern for academic credit in Germany through the Gilman Program. The award allows students from accredited U.S. higher education institutions to strengthen their skills and expand their educational experiences while living and learning in Germany.

For Master's Studies in Germany
Study Scholarship
Highly qualified final-year undergraduate students or those who have received an undergraduate degree in any discipline may apply for the DAAD Study Scholarship for a full master’s degree program at a German university or for study at a German university as part of a postgraduate or master’s degree program completed in the home country.

One-Year Grants
Research Grants – One-Year Grants (7-12 months) are awarded to highly qualified candidates who have completed a master’s degree or Diploma, or in exceptional cases a bachelor’s degree at the latest by the time they begin their grant supported research.

Job Opening at the DWIH San Francisco
Program Officer
The German Center for Research and Innovation San Francisco (DWIH) is currently seeking a well-organized and team-oriented person to join the team as Program Officer. The Program Officer will be responsible for accounting and administration which include developing and managing events, identifying speakers and relevant topics according to the DWIH-agenda, accounts payable and receivable, budget preparation, database management, and general office management and administrative duties.

This month, DAAD welcomed new additions to the Research Ambassadors program for a training workshop at the DAAD office in New York. DAAD Research Ambassadors are scholars and scientists in North America who have conducted advanced long-term research projects in Germany and are interested in promoting research in Germany at their home universities and among their peers and students. From 9/9 to 10/10, submit a photo of a place or thing in your community in the US or Canada that has a German Doppelgänger, like the CN Tower in Toronto and its Doppelgänger, the TV Tower in Berlin.
