The Grand Opening of the Smith Lake addition to the Florida National Scenic Trail was an incredible success! 🎉

We gathered on a warm Florida fall day to celebrate the Florida Trail, land stewardship, and our outdoors community alongside partners from Florida Parks Service, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Clay County, and many more.

This new trail section embodies collaboration, dedication, and a shared vision brought to life by the U.S. Forest Service, Florida Trail Association, North Florida Land Trust, and the remarkable efforts of the North Florida Trailblazers Chapter.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined in this milestone event, and a special shoutout to North Florida Land Trust for hosting the Florida National Scenic Trail at Smith Lake Preserve.
