Thank you for another successful year of helping us reach and serve more families! We were able to serve more families than ever before! Whether you helped fundraise, volunteer, donate, or spread the word, you played an integral part in giving more children hope this year! Thank you for helping make our mission possible!

OUR MISSION IN ACTION

January to October 2023:

121 families served - that means we are currently helping over THREE families per WEEK! However, we have been growing rapidly this year, and if we look at numbers for the last 4 months, we have been helping over FIVE families per week!

Did you know...

In 2022, 85 families benefited from the Durango Derailers Patient Assistance Fund. That's over 3 families every two weeks!

Dear Durango Derailers,

I cannot express how grateful I am for your continued support over the last 2 years! Since birth, my daughter Ella Grace has required very specific, unique and frequent medical care. Traveling to Colorado Springs and Denver on a regular basis is a normal part of our life. Because of your financial support I am given the opportunity to say no thank you to stress surrounding her travel days. That gift is priceless.

REACHING MORE FAMILIES

We have revamped our intake process in order to make it easier and less time-consuming for families to access our funds. It is all electronic now there is and no need to print and email or fax. We are excited for this update and hope we can reach more families through it.

Dancing with the Durango Stars

This past October, fourteen local stars and leaders provided Durango with an unforgettable night of dancing and fun. Together, with all of our friends, family, and community attendees, we were able to raise over $37,000 for the Durango Derailers Patient Assistance Fund. The Dancing Duo who raised the most donation dollars was Anna Denali and Mike Benton. Mindy Walk and Chris Lile came in second, followed by Ashley Miller and Matthew Smolin. Martha Ann & Jarod Rogers were awarded the judges best dancer award.

We are thankful for each and every performer, attendee, event sponsor, volunteer, and vote that helped make this such a successful event. Below are a few pictures from the evening's entertainment.

Year in Review

Graze & Fundraise - while Grassburger donated 10% of their sales for the day to DDPAF, we also got to bring the cycling team together for dinner to kick off the Iron Horse ride as well as showcase and distribute our custom team jersey!

Iron Horse Bicycle Classic - 51 riders donning the Durango Derailers team jersey rode in the 51st Iron Horse Bicycle Classic. These athletes pedaled to bring HOPE and COURAGE to our local kids, collecting over $30,000 in donations! We are so thankful for each and every one of them!!

Courage Classic - Nicole Manfredonia joined 57 other riders on the Psyched to Climb team at the Courage Classic in Summit County. Psyched to Climb is an organization we have recently partnered with to focus on the mental health needs of our local kids. This is the 17th year the Durango Derailers Team has ridden in the Courage Classic!

Colorado Gives Day - our first time participating in the state-wide effort to support non-profits in Colorado. We look forward to participating in this event again next year!
