Communications from the Village to the Community About Increases to Water and Sewer Rates and Capital Improvement Fees:

April 2024 to Present

The Village has consistently shared information about why increases are needed for water and sewer rates and water and sewer capital improvement fees, as well as the specific needs they will address through a range of communications. These include an FAQ page on the Village’s website that has a dedicated email for residents to ask any questions not answered through the FAQs, through the Village Enewsletters and social media pages, in a video from the Village President, at an in-person Open House in early May, and a virtual Open House in late May. The Village also created a Utility Bill Calculator to compare and estimate what future bills will look like. Additionally, water conservation tips were shared to help conserve water to help reduce utility bill costs. Additionally, for those who are not yet subscribed to the Village's Enewsletter and/or do not follow the Village's social media pages, the two most recent water bills that were mailed to every Hampshire residence provided information about the rate and fee increases.

Village Staff and Elected Official remain dedicated to guiding the community so that continued growth is measured, and that all systems that affect overall quality of life are properly maintained.
