Our first guest speaker, Chione Lucina Munoz Flegal, Executive Director of Housing California delivered a heartfelt welcome speech about what we, as a community, need in order to achieve the goals of #Housing4All

Thank you to Lourdes Castro Ramirez, Secretary of Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency who joined us this morning on behalf of Governor Gavin Newsom. It's wonderful to hear that the State is focused on finding a solutions and continuing the moment to reverse decades worth of underinvestment in housing in California.

Each panel shared some wonderful insight on Affordability, Accountability and Advocacy when it comes to housing in California.

Panel #1 discussed the foundation for the Stockton Blvd. Revitalization project, did an amazing job of making connections between affordable housing, meeting transportation needs, and employment opportunities, create a thriving and productive community that provides a higher quality of life for people in the neighborhood

Panel #2 - The State is Serious About Affordable Housing: Housing Accountability and Enforcement, shared impressive and comprehensive information about the legal side of how the state is enforcing compliance with housing laws. There is a lot of wonderful advocacy happening in California.

SHA Board President, Cathy Creswell moderated a wonderful conversation with HCD Director Gustavo Velasquez.

Panel #3: Case Study: Cornerstone: Stronger Together - How Affordability and Collaboration Came Together Through this First of its Kind Development in Sacramento offered a delightful conversation about working together towards mutual goals.
