Black Families Community Group Webinar Series

Beginning February 13th:

The NCDSA Black Families Community Group is hosting the first webinar in our 4-part series on Tuesday, Feb. 13th from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. The first webinar will honor Black History Month with our speaker Jennifer White-Johnson, a distinguished Afro-Latina artist, activist, designer, and educator, whose creative expressions delve into the intersection of content and caregiving. With a profound focus on reshaping ableist visual culture, Jen, an artist-educator grappling with Graves disease and ADHD, brings a heart-centered and electric approach to disability advocacy.

In Jennifer’s Black History Month tribute, she will help us connect with black disability advocates from our past, better understand the power of our disability advocacy, and provide resources to help us advocate from a place of emotional wellness.

Register now to join us on Feb. 13, 2024, at 6:30 pm. If this is your snack or dinner time, don’t hesitate to bring your munchies and beverages with you as we learn from Jennifer and each other how to glow up and advance disability justice.
