CCIP National Conference: Strengthening Communities in Christ
Greetings Ministry Partners,
The CCIP National Conference was a tremendous success! We had great fellowship with more than 120 delegates from all over the Philippines. We learned a lot from all the speakers, the reports, devotionals, and testimonies. We enjoyed the meals, the pretty grounds of Camp Karis, and the luscious fruit that the delegates brought from other islands. We are all looking forward to the next National Conference!

The CCIP National Conference was a wonderful experience, as we met and exchanged ideas from different cultures and areas of ministry. People reported about God’s work among the tribes, in the cities and rural areas, among the Muslims, and with the Philippine National Police. A team of young Bible school students from Canada joined the conference and helped with the music. Several delegates offered special songs, and Island Gospel Ministries presented a native dance number.
Here are some of the comments and feedback we received about the training.
- “The topics are so accurate to the needs of churches and leaders."
- “The activities and sessions are synchronized, well organized, and planned.”
- “The reports of every region gave more challenges as well as encouragement to continue being part of CCI Ministry.”

Teacher Training Workshop
Last month, I led a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) at Christ the Cornerstone Christian Communities (C4) in Santo Tomas, Batangas. C4 is a long-time partner and supporter of CCI. Nine pastors and church leaders from three churches attended the TTW.
Here are some of the things the participants said they learned at the TTW:
- "One of the most important things I learned today is to emphasize that the most important text we can use in studying and teaching the Word of God is still the Bible, with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit."
- "I learned that it’s important to have a true desire to teach or passion for it. Teaching is not just transferring knowledge but also teaching how to apply what you’re teaching. You, the teacher, must demonstrate what you are teaching in your life."
- "I have learned that life change is the best result of teaching the Word of God. There are many advantages to using the CCI curriculum compared to attending seminaries. And that immediate application of lessons learned produces better results."
- "The most important thing I learned during this workshop is that we must stay humble as we grow in knowledge and skills. For it's in the first place, we are here to serve through teaching."

God's Financial Principles
I am now teaching the God's Financial Principals (GFP) seminar at the Sunday school of our local church. We have already discussed God being the true owner of everything and man being a steward. We also discussed Work and Rest, Income and Spending, Seeking Counsel, and Budgeting. I’m planning to teach the rest of the seminar in the coming Sundays.

Training Center
CCIP signed an agreement with Crown Financial Ministries, Inc. and Foundations For Farming International to work together to establish a Crown Stewardship Center (CSC) at Camp Karis. The purpose of the CSC is to equip the people in the Philippines in the areas of faith, family, farming, finance, character, life skills, and entrepreneurship skills in order to empower people to establish household food security, lose dependency on programs, experience financial freedom, and have the potential to create jobs for others.

On June 15th, fifteen students graduated from Santa Rosa City. This is the third batch of students to graduate from Pastor Eloi's online classes. We gave them some of the books from Crossway. One of the graduates, Pastor Marlon Bermas, is now teaching three groups in Daet, Camarines Norte. Pastor Manny Gocon and his wife Linda managed to attend the graduation but had to go home before the celebration was over.
Prayer Requests & Praises
- Praise God for the success of the CCIP National Conference.
- Please pray for two TTWs to be held in July in Santa Rosa and Novaliches.
- Please continue to pray for the health of our Coordinators and their families.
- Pray that Pastor Manny, a Regional Coordinator, will regain the weight he has lost, he will sleep better, and his GI system will resolve itself.
- Please pray for the physical health of Pastor Eloi Cabillan, an Area Coordinator. He needs treatment for his left eye; otherwise, he could lose sight.
