Stewardship Campaign 2022

Stewardship Testimonial by Mike Davis

Stewardship to me is all that I do with all that I have time, talent and monies with all that I am mind body and soul after I say I believe in Jesus Christ the Lord. For me my life is intertwined with stewardship constantly. Everything I do through out my day is influenced by stewardship. If I have a conversation with someone it is my responsibility to give respect and thought to the conversation and thus a good steward. If I’m involved in a ministry I want to do my best and encourage others to do their best. I love to be surrounded by believers of Christ so that we may be the hands and feet spreading the good news with in and beyond the walls of St. John’s church. I’m very happy and comfortable being a steward, therefor I joyfully give of my time talent and money to and for the glory of the Lord.

St. John’s Affordable Housing Team Strikes Again!!

Volunteers from St. John’s spent Wednesday morning supporting affordable housing in Austin by donating their time to work at Habitat For Humanity’s retail store, the “Restore.” Located on Hwy 183 frontage road, it’s like a Home Depot except all the inventory is donated, the prices are crazy discounted and the proceeds go to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build affordable housing.

The volunteers helped unload donations, unpacked, arranged and staged inventory in the store and did cleanup of various kinds in the warehouse and outside.

Thanks to Paula Foy, Ronda Hall, Wayne Harry and John Williams for being such good stewards.

We really enjoyed this very satisfying community outreach and will do it again!

We are asking those of you who have get well or bereavement cards with no words or in English and Spanish to donate them to the church. We will have baskets for them in the parish hall and in the church narthex.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Recently we asked for donations of cards for Henry Welles to send bereavement or get well card to parish members.

Please let Henry, Sandra Ward or Christi Crow know if you have a need or if you know of someone who does. Thank you.
