2023 PBA Marketplace Registration Is Open!

We are very excited to let you know that the 2023 Marketplace registration is open for Exhibitors and Operators! Early Bird Pricing ends October 15th!


The 2023 Marketplace will be hosted by Pennsylvania's Americana Region at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown in Morgantown, PA on Tuesday, March 28. The seminar, reception and setup will occur the day before, Monday March 27.

Most passenger transportation companies compensate workers as employees. During COVID, it came to light that some companies treated drivers and other workers as independent contractors. MCI Celebrates Delivery of Its 10,000th J4500

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) announced the delivery of ten 2023 model year MCI J4500 coaches to Cline Tours, one of the nation’s leading operators in the Southeast, marking Cline Tours’ 300th motor coach and MCI’s 10,000th J4500 built on its production line in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Tom Wagner Rejoins MCI, Continuing the Legacy of Patricia Ziska 

Motor Coach Industries (MCI), announced that Tom Wagner has rejoined the company. Tom will be working alongside Patricia Ziska, Vice President of Private Sector Sales, who will retire at the end of the year after more than a four-decade career with MCI.


Upon Ziska’s retirement, Wagner will lead MCI’s team of regional sales vice presidents in the U.S. and Canada. The team sells new MCI models and pre-owned coaches to private sector operators. Read the press release.

PBA Participates in Joint Meeting September 8, 2022

PBA Executive Director, Pattie Cowley attended the Joint Meeting in Southbridge, MA on September 8th. The other associations included NEBA, CT Bus, GNJMA, BANY and MASSBUS.


The day was jam-packed of good information and networking. In the evening the group traveled to a local establishment for dinner, of course by bus! King Ward of Chicopee sponsored the transportation.

FMCSA has Removed ELDorado’s “ELDorado ELD” from List of Registered ELDs

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has removed ELDorado ELD from the list of registered Electronic Logging Devices (ELD). FMCSA has placed ELDorado ELD on the Revoked Devices list due to the company’s failure to meet the minimum requirements established in 49 CFR part 395, subpart B, appendix A, effective September 7, 2022. Comment Period on Proposed NYC Congestion Pricing Program is Extended through Sept. 23

Recognizing the significant public interest in the Central Business District Tolling Program’s Environmental Assessment, the public comment period will remain open an additional 14 days and close on Friday, Sept. 23, instead of Friday, Sept. 9, as previously announced.


Ways to Comment on the Environmental Assessment

Comments continue to be accepted online, by email (written and video submissions accepted), mail, phone and fax. Comments received between Aug. 10 and Sept. 23 will be considered and become part of the administrative record.
