Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ |
What do St. Junipero Serra, St. Thomas, St. Elizabeth of Portugal, St. Maria Goretti, St. Benedict, St. Henry, St. Bonaventure, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Camillus, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Briget, St. Sharbel, St. James, Sts. Joachim and Anne, Sts. Martha, Mary and Lazarus, St. Peter Chrysologus, and St. Ignatius of Loyola have in common?
You guessed it, they are a few of the many saints who have feast days in July. July is also the month we celebrate the birth of our nation – The United States of America! On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence officially declared our nation's freedoms. Please pray for our country as part of your celebration, God Bless America.
Please let us know how we can better serve you and your parish as we carry out our mission of evangelization to help parishes bring people to an encounter with Christ and a deeper appreciation of the Catholic faith. (Contact us at family@diocesepb.org)
May God's Mercy and Peace be with you and your family,

It's a crisis!
About three quarters of young adult Catholics in the United State do not believe in the Eucharist.
Surveys have revealed that most baptized Catholics simply don’t accept this fundamental truth of our Catholic faith—that Jesus truly gives Himself to us at every Mass: body and blood, soul and divinity. This is a crisis of faith, but it’s also a crisis of education.

JULY is devoted to Most Precious Blood
From the time of the Passion, when Christ poured out His blood for our salvation, the faithful have practiced devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. In the month of July, the Church honors the Precious Blood and encourages us in this devotion. The traditional feast day devoted to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ is July 1st.
