Elevating Minority Mental Health Needs

EmpathyHQ: Your Ally & Partner in Inclusive Wellness

Minority Mental Health Awareness Month is here, and it's a great time to reflect on the importance of supporting mental health in communities of color. As a nonprofit organization, EmpathyHQ is committed to reducing barriers and increasing access to quality, culturally competent mental healthcare for those who need it most.

EmpathyHQ works every day to empower communities, advocate for mental health, and provide support and resources to help everyone thrive. By lifting each other up and ensuring equitable care, we can create a future where everyone has the tools and support to succeed.

Summer Camp:

EmpathyHQ Interns in action!

EmpathyHQ collaborated with PSP Professional Services, Inc. during their summer camp. Our interns provided mental health education to attendees, helping them learn more about how to name and understand thoughts, feelings, and actions. They learned about using I-Statements to communicate their feelings, explored different emotions with the feelings wheel, and practiced checking in with themselves.

Mental Health 101

Good mental health doesn't mean never experiencing negative emotions or stress. Instead, it's about having the tools and capacity to navigate life's challenges effectively.

Maintaining a sense of well-being is an ongoing process of nurturing and sustaining a positive state of physical, mental, and emotional health. It's about creating and preserving a balanced, fulfilling life. How are you feeling today?
