Hello NKBA South Florida Chapter Members

As we enter the summer season, we have several important dates and activities lined up for July. Here’s a concise update on what's happening in our vibrant community:

Voices From the Industry – Last Call for CEU Presentation Submissions: July 5th is the final day to apply to present at Voices From the Industry at KBIS 2025. This is your chance to share your expertise with the broader kitchen and bath community and receive a full attendee ticket if selected. Don't miss this rewarding opportunity!
NKBA South Florida Design Competition COMING SOON: Starting July 15th, showcase your incredible work by submitting entries to our Design Competition. Review your NKBA Guidelines and submit your projects. We have exciting categories for industry partners, including new showrooms, creative stonework, and concept designs.
Double Header CEU at Ferguson: On July 17th, join us for a Double Header CEU event with Waterstone Faucets and SKS Appliances at Ferguson. Enhance your knowledge and network with industry professionals.
Council Self-Nominations Closing: July 31st is the last day to self-nominate for the NKBA 2025/2026 Council positions. Open positions include Membership Chair and Secretary/Treasurer. Step in and contribute to shaping our chapter’s future! https://kb.nkba.org/info/members/leaders/

In June, our council convened for a mid-year review of our Strategic Initiatives. We remain dedicated to increasing valuable in-person member education, launching special programs, and organizing fun networking events to support our growing chapter.

Planning Guidelines

NKBA’s Fourth Edition K&B Planning Guidelines (spiral-bound) is now available for purchase in BULK on the NKBA store.

NKBA’s Kitchen & Bath Planning Guidelines web page provides a general overview about the revisions found within this publication, as well as two webinar recordings highlighting the history of NKBA’s Planning Guidelines and specific topics and practical applications related to the new publication.

Certification

During this first year, the NKBA will be hosting Certification Study Groups to assist candidates through the new process. We are currently developing the agenda along with dates and times to present these sessions via Zoom. In the meantime, questions can be sent to certification@nkba.org.

Newly Restructured – NKBA’s CKBD Certification Program

The NKBA is now accepting applications to our newly reformed Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) Program. Eligibility requirements, changes to the program, overall process, and application is available on the NKBA’s Certification webpage.
