The U.S Environmental Protection Agency launched an updated version of the AirNow Fire and Smoke Map. You can use this map to view levels of coarse particle pollution and information on wildfires.

Honoring the legacy of Dorcas Thille


November 3, 1931 - September 4, 2024


Dorcas Hardison Kimball Thille was a Santa Paula farmer, mother of six, and supporter of the University of California. She passed away recently at the age of 92. Dorcas was a trailblazer in many ways and well respected in the community. She was known to give no-nonsense advice. We honor and thank her for her dedicated service to the University of California as board member and chair of the UC Hansen Trust and board member of the Agricultural Issues Center at UC Davis. Continue reading...

Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan (INMP) Refresher Training


November 12, 2024


VCAILG is hosting a refresher training designed for Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) and growers who have previously completed the full 6-hour course and passed the certification exam, qualifying them to develop a self-certified Irrigation and Nutrient Management Plan (INMP) for their farm(s).
