Conferences TODAY

Thank you to everyone who completed our survey about conference preferences in the fall. The results showed us that 63.8% of parents prefer having an online option at this time. We will reevaluate as needed.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held today from 3:00-8:00 p.m. via Zoom. Signups are open now and will close at 9:00 a.m.

The Zoom link will be in the confirmation email that parents receive. The passcode needed to access the private Zoom links will be listed on the signup sheet under the teacher’s name. We recommend writing down the passcodes when you sign up. Parents will be admitted into a waiting room and the teacher will admit them when it is their assigned time.

Please email the teacher if you are having problems signing in or wish to cancel.

Parents are always welcome to communicate with teachers via email with questions or concerns.

February 28: PreACT for Freshmen, ACT for Juniors

On Tuesday, February 28, freshmen will take the PreACT and juniors will take the ACT exam (no writing). Sophomores and seniors will not have school that day. Room assignments will be sent to the students’ bwhs.org emails along with information pertinent to the test. Please help remind students to check their emails a few days before test day.

Freshmen and juniors should arrive at the regular time and report to their assigned rooms by 7:45 a.m. Anyone arriving after the exam has begun will not be permitted to test that day and will be counted as an unexcused absence. Senior Research Paper

The senior research paper is due at the beginning of the student's English class period on February 21. No late papers are accepted for any reason. Failure to turn in the paper on time will result in attending a summer session at which time the student will write a new paper in order to receive his/her diploma. Cost for the summer session is $200.

Dress Down Days

We have a couple of dress down days coming up and based on last week’s dress down day, we wanted to remind families of the expectations. When a dress down day has a theme, students who decide to dress down must be dressed in alignment with the theme and in accordance with the student handbook rules.

This Friday’s dress down, proposed by Student Council, recognizes Black History Month. Students who would like to participate are invited to wear spirit wear from historically black colleges or red, black or green.

For next Tuesday’s dress down, students must bring 10 canned food items (see below) in order to participate. The theme, proposed by Student Council, is Valentine’s Day with dress down colors of red, pink or white.

Food Drive Next Tuesday

Help keep the shelves stocked at our local pantries!

We are having a Food Drive for Valentine’s Day, February 14, to benefit MidOhio Food Collective.

Students who bring in 10 items may dress casually in red, white or pink!

Items needed at this time:

Chili with Beans

Canned Fruit (in juice or light syrup)

Tuna

Canned Vegetables

Canned Meat

Soup with Vegetables

Peanut Butter

Items will be collected in homeroom on Tuesday, February 14.

Diaper Drive Results

The diaper and wipe collection for Bottoms Up Diaper Bank surpassed previous collections, with 23,849 diapers and 50,370 wipes donated! Bottoms Up expressed gratitude for your generosity.

March 1

We often find an excuse not to pray. We would like to offer you an excuse to pray and a chance to come join us in prayer. Each Wednesday we have Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. We begin with Exposition at 7:30 a.m. and continue through the school day until 1:30 p.m. when we have Benediction. Throughout the day, Theology classes take turns spending some time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. You are invited to join us. If you are interested, please follow this link to sign-up. If there is any change to the schedule, we will be sure to keep you informed. Thank you for your willingness to pray with us and for your example of prayer for our students.
