A Message to the Community

Dear Cedar Rapids Community,

Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) shares with you that Superintendent Noreen Bush will begin a Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) beginning Monday, September 19, 2022. She will continue her title as superintendent throughout her medical leave.

Superintendent Bush has been on a 2.5 year cancer journey while steadfastly serving as CRCSD superintendent. The current part of her journey has led her to take a medical leave at this time.

“Noreen established a theme of ‘love and care’ for our district to begin this school year,” says Board President David Tominsky. “And we, as a school district and broader community, fully support her with all our love and care as she takes this important time to focus on her cancer journey.”

Sincerely,

Cedar Rapids Community School District

Reminder: Kingston Stadium Student Expectations

We believe in a safe, supportive, collaborative environment in all CRCSD spaces. We are proud to

embrace that belief at Kingston Stadium. To ensure this environment, the following expectations are

required for students attending Kingston Stadium:

Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be Responsible

● Middle School and younger students must be accompanied by a paying adult

  • An adult must purchase a ticket and remain within Kingston Stadium as long as the student(s) they are responsible for are in attendance.
  • Security and school administrators will be checking to make sure an adult is present when an elementary or middle school student ticket is purchased and an adult is present when the student enters the ticket gate into the stadium.

● High School students must present an ID to enter (with $7 ticket or student activity pass)

● Students may not enter with backpacks and/or cinch sacks

● Students must stay on their assigned side of the stadium

● Students must leave school grounds immediately after the game ends, no loitering
